Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the Hackles website at hackles.com.au (Website).
The Website is operated by Fuse Law Pty Ltd ACN 671 552 686 as trustee for the Fuse Law Business Trust ABN 70 631 160 493 (Fuse Law, we, us or our). Hackles is a Fuse Law product.
This policy covers the Website only. The Hackles platform will have its own privacy policy, which we will publish before it launches.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
The Website does not have forms, accounts or logins, and it does not use cookies, analytics or advertising tools.
We collect personal information in two ways:
- When you email us. If you register your interest or contact us by email, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything else you choose to put in your email.
- Technical information. When you visit the Website, our hosting provider records technical information needed to deliver and secure the Website, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit.
You can browse the Website without giving us any other information about yourself.
How we use it
We use the information you send us to:
- reply to your email;
- keep you informed about Hackles, including its launch, if you have registered your interest; and
- manage our relationship with you.
We use technical information to operate the Website, keep it secure and fix problems.
We will not sell your personal information or use it for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law requires or allows it.
Updates about Hackles
If you register your interest, we may email you about Hackles. Every email will tell you how to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@hackles.com.au.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run the Website and our email:
- Vercel Inc., which hosts the Website; and
- Google LLC, which provides our email through Google Workspace.
These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers that are bound by confidentiality and security obligations, and we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may also disclose personal information where the law requires or allows us to, or to our professional advisers.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please don't email us anything sensitive through the Website.
Legal enquiries
Please don't send us details of a legal matter through the Website. Hackles is not a law firm, and emailing us does not create a lawyer-client relationship with Fuse Law. If you need legal advice, contact Fuse Law directly at fuselaw.com.au.
Access and correction
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@hackles.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email hello@hackles.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
